Students will spend time in workshops, touring the campus, telling stories related to the landscape and environment and share their work with each other to be edited and critiqued. They will leave the experience with published links to their work.
The faculty and volunteer trainers are SPJ leaders from across the northeast who have been planning and coordinating the event for the last year. They have worked as a team to build the institute and will teach, train and mentor the students during the event.
Lauren Faltas, past student: “I truly enjoyed this program as it brought me so much knowledge, friendships, and connections to people in the journalism field that are only pushing me forward in my journalism career. Along the way I made some amazing friends which made my whole experience there so much better.”
